Fly free, little butterfly…

This year has brought us lot of happiness in two little bunches of joy – just in beginning of the year, Orly gave birth to two puppies, sired by Rebel – Multi Ch Spinillons Rebel Rowser. Everything went well so Spinillons family welcomed very long awaited and wished litter:

In  June, we also made big Eurotrip with Jo Davidson-Poston and our Spinillons. Jo was invited to judge Special show of Czech Papillon & Phalene Club, so in that occasion, we couldn’t resist not to take our dogs and enter some shows in Europe.

2x CAC & 2 CACIB Bucharest, Romania – what a weekend!

I wanted to return to Romania, where I was showing 3 years ago, as Gunner and Orly needed one last CAC there, and it was conveniently week before Jo’s judging appointment, so Romania it was! After 3000 km exhausting journey, including one car breakdown, we arrived to Bucharest. Despite the crazy weather, when temperatures reached 36 degrees and on Saturday we were splashed by total thunderstorm, team Spinillons had fabulous weekend!

Judges were Ozan Belkis (TR) – CAC I, Csaba Zsolt Lokodi (RO) – CACIB I, Dagmar Klein (RO) – CAC II, Vilmos Kardos (HU) – CACIB II

Rebel – 4x Excellent 1, 4x CAC, 1x Best Dog, 4x BOV, 2x CACIB-V
Yankee – 4x Excellent 1, 4x CAC, 4x Best Dog, 4x BOV, 2x CACIB-V, 4x BOB
Gunner – 4x Excellent 1, 2x CAC, 1x res CACIB
Orly – 3x Excellent 1, 3x CAC (we gave her rest for the last show)
Elli – 4x Excellent 1, 4x CAC, 2x res CACIB
Prince – 4x Excellent 1, 4x CAC, 3x Best Dog, 2x CACIB, 3x BOB
Elena – 4x Excellent 1, 4x CAC, 2x CACIB, 3x BOS, 1x BOB

But absolute cherry on top were finals then:
CAC I – where Prince won Group, and then went BEST IN SHOW!!!

CACIB I – Prince won group again, and went RESERVE BEST IN SHOW!!! Yankee went Reserve Best Veteran in Show! Sadly we missed couple and breeding group classes as they rushed due to mad thunderstorm.

CAC II – for this time it was Elena who was the main star! As she won Group and went BEST IN SHOW !!!

CACIB II – Prince went 2nd in Group, Rebel won BIS VETERAN and Yankee was just behind him taking Reserve! Prince & Elena won Best Couple and Rebel, Gunner and Elli went to win the Breeding Group!

We entered only Friday and Sunday, as Jo was judging on Saturday. Friday’s judge was Birgit Eichler (CL) for Paps and Adam Ostrowski (PL) for Chihuahuas, on Sunday we had Chantal van Raamsdonk-Blatter (BE)

Rebel – 2x Excellent 1, 2x CACIB-V, 2x BOV
Yankee – 2x Excellent 1, 2x CACIB-V, 2x BOV, 2x BOB
Gunner – 1x Excellent 1, 1x CAC
Orly – 1x Excellent 1, 1x Excellent 2, 1x CAC, 1x res. CAC, 1x Res. CACIB
Elli – 1x Excellent, 1x CAC
Prince – 2x Excellent 1, 2x CAC, 2x CACIB, 2x BOB!

This time it was much harder competition, so we are even prouder of our dogs to achieve so many winnings. Prince managed to get BOB both days he was shown in really tough competition!

In finals, Prince and Elena were entered in Best Couple competition and won 3rd place.

Munster Agricultural Canine Society All Breed Ch Shows, Cork

Then back in Ireland, madam Butterfly Orly finished her IRISH CHAMPION title by getting the last (#7) Green Star from Canadian judge Mr Guy Jeavons! She  was also awarded as Reserve Green Star and Res CACIB by other two judges 🙂

Wandering around the Europe, spring 2023

In March 2023 I left Ireland for a couple of weeks with my little showteam. In three weekends, we attended 11 shows in 3 countries and visited / crossed many other countries. I was showing Gunner (Spinillons Guns’N’Roses), Orly (Orleana Maria Marsa Spinillons), Yankee (CIB Multi Ch Spinillons The Rebel Yankee) and two other members of team Spinillons, Prince (Sky Butterfly Elven Cron Prince Spinillons) and Bella (Ari De Pari Eadlin Darylyn Spinillons). It was a beautiful sightseeing as well! I can not wait for another trip.
